Art Trail 2026 & Open Studios

We had a fantastic Art Trail at The Rickyard with hundreds of visitors and made many sales for all the artists. We would like to say a big thank you to all the visitors and a special thank you to all the artists who made the event such a success.

We hope you enjoy this selection of some of the artists work from the Art Trail and Open Studios this year.

Ceramic Portrait Sculpture

Cathy Servonat-Blanc

Create a small clay sculpture using photographic source material. Images will be provided or you can bring your own to work from. Explore the delights of working three dimensionally in real space. Pieces will be fired for you and can be painted later, or they can remain as they are.

All material will be provided including firing. £65.00. Friday, the 25th of September 10am-4pm

Immerse yourself in a day creating art, meeting new people and trying out new techniques.

We run all day and half day workshops to encourage and inspire you. Above is a workshop run by Lisa Tank using oil and cold wax to create stunning artworks.

Abstract Floral Collage

Sharon Sycamore is excited to be offering her first abstract collage floral workshop at The Rickyard Gallery this September.
The workshop will focus on mixed-media, blending acrylic paints with collage papers to create engaging and emotive
contemporary pieces. Each participant will create their own unique piece that will be mounted at the end of the session.
If you love working with paper and glue then this workshop is a must.

Alicia Stewart

Expressive oil landscape with gold foil with Alicia Stewart
Join Alicia and create an expressive oil landscape painting with metallic oil accents! Attendees will learn how to use oil paints and create a loose and expressive landscape. We will begin by preparing the canvas and learning how to use size.

Autumnal still life in soft pastels with Fiona Hodges
Join Fiona for a one day creative workshop exploring the rich, gentle colours of autumn through soft pastel.
Suitable for complete beginners.

Catherine Nicholson

Feeding time with Catherine Nicholson
Join us for a full day workshop, where we will create a painting capturing the cheeky character of these beautiful little Blue-tits.

We will be building many layers of paint and collage to create a joyful image to take home. If you have some patterned tissue paper or paper napkins that you
think might work please feel free to bring them.

Debs Davis

Stitched vessels with Debs Davis
This workshop is suitable for beginners.
We will use simple stitching & scraps of fabric to make a vessel. Time permitting, we will add embellishments, such as lace, buttons, fabric and printed words.

23rd October 10am-4pm £95
All materials included and light refreshments.You are welcome to bring some fabrics of your own if you wish.

Autumn Visitor with Radost Dimitrova
You will paint, using watercolour, a Great Spotted Woodpecker perched on a tree trunk, surrounded by a soft, warm autumn background.
